Turn up Your Style

Through countless hairstyles and headlines, this humble little shop has kept its promise: to make innovative self-expression sustainable, inclusive, and affordable for everyone.

Your Burning Questions, Answered.
Can I shop the collection online?
Do you buy/ trade/ take consignment?
Do you sell men's clothes too?
What sizes do you carry?
What are your hours, really?
Frock Star is mostly an in-person experience, with the exception of the occasional eBay drop. These are usually hot designer pieces, non-fashion vintage items, or wholesale bundles. You can find a link to our eBay shop on the Contact page.
We pride ourselves on being super size-inclusive, though nothing is arranged by size (because vintage sizing is a fever dream). Try things on, play around, and let the clothes choose you.
Short answer: no. Keeping prices low means cutting out the middleman by doing our own sourcing, buying in bulk though wholesalers, estates, etc. This system keeps the racks full, the vibes friendly, and the prices fair.
How affordable is affordable?
Everything in the shop is under $30. The $5 racks are a fan favorite, as is the $8 tee shirt rack. Even the fanciest $28 dress we have could probably be found for twice that much in another vintage shop. You'll find endless jewelry pieces and other trinkets in the 4-8 dollar range, and our 3 for $5 pin collection has earned a cult following. Even in today's economy, you can't do much damage to your wallet at Frock Star. Inflation who?
Absolutely! Our menswear section is packed with fab finds and is as just size-inclusive as everything else. It should also be noted that we're big believers in the philosophy that clothing is inherently genderless; anyone should feel free to wear what makes them feel comfortable, confident, and authentic.
We're open every afternoon except Sunday, though our exact schedule is not always corporate-tight. Google lists Frock Star's hours as 12:30-6, and sometimes that is accurate! But the shop is a one-woman show, and side quests happen. A sign on the door (and on the contact page) provides a more detailed explanation, along with ways to check for updates.
What counts as vintage these days?
In technical fashion terms, the word "vintage" describes items that are at least 20 years old. The word can also be defined more loosely as "representing the best of its era." Most of our collection dates from the 1970s to the early 2000s, with the occasional older or newer piece thrown in. Looking to cosplay a specific time? Remember that fashion is cyclical; an 80s dress can nail a 40s vibe. We aim to inspire creativity through interesting colors, cuts, textures, and patterns— more eclectic style trove than museum of priceless antiques.
